I haven't updated, or really even looked at livejournal in over a month. I've been too busy to do anything at all. I'll be happy when school ends next week, so I'll at least have the summer to relax some. However, the reason I'm updating now is because of this:

It's always made me sick, how heartless people can be. But this just pushes it further. It bothers me, more than I could ever truly express, how terribly we treat one another- without a second thought about it. Why is it so hard for us to just show a basic respect for one another? We don't have to like everyone we meet, but at least be civil! It's ridiculous and incredibly disheartening to see that people show so little compassion. I feel terrible for this little boy, who saw no end to his torturing, and no other way out. I feel terrible for his family who have to live with that thought.
It makes me sick to my stomach to even think about how this boy must have felt, and to think that people think it's okay to treat one another this way.
I just don't get it.
